Lynn is sadly passing away soon due to Stage 4 Terminal Cancer…
We are trying to give her everything she deserves when she leaves this earth… We don’t know the timeline but believe she will pass away soon… We are trying to get her into Hospice so she can pass away comfortably … Clinically we are told a few weeks - at the most a Month or two.
What happened was so fast and we have been in a whirlwind since:
Lynn was rushed to the hospital 3/18/23 for tremendous pressure and pain in her head, She was found to have a brain bleed and had to have an emergency craniotomy
For those who don’t know In 2020 Lynn was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer she did some rounds of chemo and got to a point where she could do maintenance chemo- She was so proud for fighting this viscous disease and had clear scans for many months - When she was admitted into the hospital
They told her the bleed may have been from taking the chemo for two and a half years… her platelets were low during her hospital stay and she was receiving transfusions … Just when We thought Lynn was recovering from the surgery and would be coming home soon is when the real nightmare had just begun, she started getting horrible terrible pain in her back while in the hospital, they did a cat-scan and found that her cancer had spread into her bones- her entire spine, Hip bones, sacral bones had the disease… Lynn fought a long tough two years to get rid of this cancer- Chemotherapy isn’t an option anymore for her, the doctors offered her radiation to help the pain but told her it would not cure the cancer and would only be targeted at a few small areas … She denied the radiation and was done fighting the good fight.. she is exhausted and tired of the needles, the testing, the chemo, the laying on hard cold boards for scans etc….
She continued to work and travel for work right up until she was admitted into the hospital. Sadly we are now watching her suffer through the end of this disease, She is in excruciating pain and it is just making her miserable. We did get palliative care right away and are trying to inquire about a hospice not knowing when God will plan to take her- We pray God gives Lynn the compassion, peace, and tranquility she deserves. This is horrible to witness.
