Akemi Cortes' emergency fund.

Akemi Cortes is a 10 year-old girl with Down's Syndrome that has encountered various difficulties throughout her short life such as losing her father, heart problems among other things.

Since birth she has suffered from VSD ( Ventricular septal defect), ASD (Atrial septal defect) and due to these defects she has 3 patch closures which are the ones that prevent congestive cardiac heart failure for now.

On April 30th, 2013 her father committed suicide after losing his job and a long fight with depression which greatly affected Akemi and my mother. 

One of the biggest obstacles for my mother(50)is notbeing able to provide a stable financialsituations to accomodate Akemi with what she needs and paying off the house since my mother receives too little for what she is tasked with.

I am her brother and this is my way of helping my mother since college is around the corner and I won't be able to be with her during these difficult times.
