Luna was attacked by a coyote and needs surgery

Hi, my name is Krista and I'm asking for your help. We rescued Luna and her brother JT at just 5 weeks old. At a year and a half years old now, she's always been a fighter, but she just couldn't fight off the coyote who came right into my suburban neighborhood yard and viciously attacked her. Thankfully, I heard her scream and ran outside with my dog Scout, yelling for my cats. Scout literally saved her life. With Scout charging and barking, the coyote dropped Luna, busted through my neighbor's fence, and took off into the woods--we saw him taking off through the trees. I ran to the side yard and found Luna there, wounded but alive. I wrapped her in a towel and raced to the emergency vet with her in my arms, praying that she would survive.

She did survive, but it's been a rollercoaster. The coyote had her head in its mouth, with puncture wounds by her ear and jaw. There were some additional tiny puncture wounds that later started to fester, causing her to develop a high fever. Sepsis started setting in. I thought we might lose her, but she rallied! Her bloodwork has rebounded, thanks to the doctors taking care of her, but the skin on her head has not healed as we hoped it would.

So far I've spent over $7000 in emergency vet bills and Luna still needs a $5000 surgery to repair the damage on her skull. Any help with Luna would be greatly appreciated. I just cannot let this be the end of Luna's fight. Thank you.
