ABOUT OUR PROJECT
The 2016 Lugar Series class partnered with the Lugar Center and ACDI VOCA to raise awareness and funds to equip and empower women farmers in Liberia.
This year our class is honoring Senator Lugar through bringing attention to one of his top policy priorities: ending global food insecurity. Our goal is to address this issue by empowering women farmers.
Much like how the Lugar Series trains Hoosier women to run for office, Harvesting Change will help equip and empower African women to be involved in their local governing process and contribute to their community's sucess.
Funds donated are tax deductable and go directly to the Lugar Series to fund this project with ACDI VOCA.
