Lucky's Legacy Rescue Mini Van - In memory of Cleo

IN MEMORY OF CLEO
UPDATE: We have had to increase our target to £4000 due to their being no vans close to what we need for £3000.
In light of the events we have had over the last few weeks with Cleo passing and our positive parvo pups Ava, Stevie & Roxy we have been hit pretty hard on the medical side of rescue life. We’ve been brainstorming and coming up with ways to help ensure our dogs (and cats!) stay happy and healthy.
Currently, Catalina and Patrick are using their small red Seat Ibiza for everything. Between transportation to the vets, shops for dog food, and sometimes long drives on rescue missions, the little red car just isn’t cutting it.
In Cleos honour, god bless her little soul, we are hoping that by setting up this gofundme page we can raise enough money to allow us to purchase a used mini van. Patrick can then modify it with stainless steel sheets in the back and at least 2 large crates that we can easily clean and disinfect after each use. The current method of stuffing the boot with shredded paper and clothes that the dogs sometimes vomit or poo on and then having to toss it all out and start all over each trip is a daunting task. And as deeply as we clean and scrub and disinfect, this car wasn’t made for such purposes.
Therefore we feel it is essential to have a designated transport van in order to further ensure the health of our dogs and lessen any possibility of the spread of diseases. We are starting a fundraising campaign online in the hopes that in the next few months it will help us achieve our goal. Our target is £3000.
Can you help us? There are so many ways everyone can get involved. Can you save your spare change throughout the week? Skip your morning coffee trip once a week? Have a few clothes you no longer wear? Car boots, coffee morning, fun runs anything! We currently have 3 events coming up by wonderful supporters of Luckys and all of the proceeds they make in the next few months and any fundraising events after will all be going towards this goal.

We have honestly been overwhelmed by your incredible generosity and we can’t tell you how much it means to everyone here at Luckys and to all our four legged friends.
