Lucien is a very happy and loving child who was born with a genetic condition called ROTHMUND-THOMPSON syndrome, which is a rare condition affecting many parts of the body and is incurable.
Symptoms include severe rashes,sparse hair,gastrointestinal problems, and even malformed bones and osteoporosis. This genetic condition is life threatening itself, and now Lucien has been diagnosed with OSTEOSARCOMA (BONE CANCER).He is being hospitalized for inpatient chemotherapy.
Lucien needs chemotherapy every 2 weeks for 3-5 day sessions and attend between 1-9 clinic visits per week when he is at home. The continued trips back and fourth to the hospital has put a huge financial strain on the family.
There are two other children in the home, and the constant hospital trips to LUCILE PACKARD CHILDRENS HOSPITAL have become incredibly expensive and difficult. Lucien mom is not able to work due to a work injury and is finding it very difficult to pay living expenses.
