Loving Offering for Jack Highsmith Jr. Family

Jack Highsmith Jr. suffered a massive stroke on the evening of Wednesday, December 5, 2018.  He was diverted by life-flight to the local hospital after the EMT's were unable to stabilize him.  After intubation,  scans and receiving a tPA dose, he was flown to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. There the medical team was able to go in and successfully remove the clot from his Basilar Artery.  Upon completion of the surgery, he was not responsive and his brain was swelling at an alarming rate.  The doctors performed a second surgery to allow the brain to swell and drain without further complications.  Jack ultimately suffered too much brain damage from the complete blockage. 

On Friday, December 7, 2018, Jack Highsmith Jr. went to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving wife Jenn and their two daughters, Jodi, 15 and Jesi, 13.  Jack continues to give to others as his organs are being donated to families in need.
