"Love Notes Across Town" is an opportunity to share your love anonymously. And in the end to receive love anonymously. With the help of friends and family, Ann Arbor will experience a Love Flood of blank love notes on June 22, 2013. These love notes will be in the form of stamped/addressed postcards. They are a blank canvas for you to share your love. You can color, paint, paste, cut, and/or write anything on the post card as long as it is a sentiment of love. The postcards are stamped and addressed because they will be returned to me. Upon return, the love notes will be collaborated and displayed as a community art show. Many of the love notes will be enlarged and reprinted. "Love Notes Across Town" is a gathering of community in the name of Love. The art show will take place on July 27, 2013. The venue is yet to be determined. Maybe someone who is reading this knows of beautiful location where all of this love can be exhibited?
I am looking for financial support for "Love Notes Across Town." So often we live our lives on autopilot, going from one obligation to the next blindly moving through life. I believe that we are here on this planet to live in love. Who doesn't want to be happy? Who doesn't want to feel loved and give love? We all do. Sometimes we forget though. Everyday life gets in the way. We let frustration, fear, irritation, guilt, anger, hurt and jealously run our lives. All the while we crave to love and be loved. Truly we just want to be understood and accepted as we are. Faults and all. The most powerful way to receive love is to first share it. Swallowing pride and pushing anger aside can be quite difficult even when the need to love and be loved is so strong and pervasive.
Any help in any way can make this project a reality. I am asking for funding to get this project started. It is my vision that 3000 blank love notes will be distributed throughout town. The cost of stamping 3000 postcards is $1,110. I am not sure how much the entire project could cost. I have an asking price of $5,000 because I know that creating large images of the postcards as well as renting a space and possibly catering the community art show can get expensive. If this project warms your heart, please consider donating money, time, venue, food and/or any expertise you may have to make the project a reality. Share your love and love will be received.
