Help Ecuadorian Rainforest, AwarenessUSA

Our mission is to help the Ecuadorian Cloud Forest through an awareness program for children in the USA. With the opportunity to be associated with the Maquipucuna Fundation, Santa Lucia Ecolodge & Reserva Yunguilla, the ability to help a specific area in the rainforest is achievable. All of our efforts go directly to help conserve this part of the Choco Andean Corridor.
The Choco-Andean Cloud Forest Corridor is declared "one of the richest and most diverse regions on Earth" by scientists of Conservation International (conservation.org).
Our team is composed of two volunteers, the American Katherine and the French Fanny, who have lived in this primary forest during a year and who realized the current essential need for support in sustaining the Ecuadorian Rainforest.
Our aim is to go from point to point across the United States of America to Spread the #LoveMaqui, in other words to spread our experience through interactive presentations for children and to make a true difference for this extraordinarily biodiverse region of the Rainforest.
To sum up, the region of Maquipucuna, Santa Lucia and Yunguilla is home to one of the largest recorded populations of the endangered Spectacled Bear, the only surviving species of bear in South America.
It is also rich in history, with many archaeological findings of the Pre-Incas (ceramics, burial sites and buried pathways).
Many threats face the three reserves, especially deforestation.
With extraordinary determination, passion and confidence in our mission to help preserve the Cloud Forest, we hope that our awareness campaign #LoveMaqui will raise awareness concerning the threats of the Ecuadorian Rainforest and its crucial importance in the world.
