A Cure for Peyton

Donation protected
Hello my name is Tamika Daniels I'm writing about my five year old son his name is Abe Peyton Daniels we call him Peyton. When Peyton was 6 months old he was suffocated between the mattress and the headboard of the bed he was dead for 20 minutes and he was resuscitated and placed on life support. Because he was without oxygen for so long he has a brain injury which has caused him to have neuromuscular scoliosis and in order for him to live he is in dire need of surgery. We live in Kansas City Mo. and there no doctors here or in the state of Missouri willing to take his critical case. We found a doctor in St. Louis Mo. that was going to perform the surgery but Peyton was the youngest patient he would have performed the surgery on and using this life saving rod on called a VEPTR which is a vertical expandable prosthetic titanium rib for kids with neuromuscular scoliosis.
Peyton is basically living off of one lung because his scoliosis is so severe and critical he is prone to getting infections of the lungs, asthma attacks and aspiration pneumonia. He was scheduled for four surgeries and he had gotten sick and placed in the hospital right before each surgery and with each episode being more severe than the previous he does not have a lot of time. His last hospital stay he stopped breathing and was placed in Pediatric ICU on the Ventilator.
And because of this the doctor decided he cannot place him on his surgery schedule again due to the cancellation, due to the six week turn around we have been waiting for almost two years Peyton is in dire need of the surgery if he does not get this VEPTR placed he will eventually suffocate and die. After the disappointing news from the doctor in St Louis I went on a search to find a hospital and a doctor who was willing and more than qualified to perform this life saving surgery. I called Children's Hospital of Philadelphia which was one of three hospital suggested to me by Peyton's pediatrician and I asked for the best surgeon in the orthopedics department and after telling the person my story she told me she had someone in mind who could help my son and I.
I received a phone call from a administrative assistant from the hospital and she took Peyton's information she told me the doctor she worked for was Dr. Robert Campbell and I asked her is he the best she said he is the head of our Thoracic team and I said but is he the best she said "When we hang up the phone goggle him and research him." and she proceeded to take my information. After the call ended I looked Dr. Campbell up and I found out not only is he the best for the job he invented the VEPTR rod my son needs to live. Peyton has a foundation called LOVE FOR PEYTON FOUNDATION.
Please help me raise money to get Peyton to the Children Hospital of Philadelphia to get this life saving surgery, and the ongoing treatments that will be needed afterwards. I'm hoping God will touch your heart to pick my son as one of your charity donations. Thank You for taking the time out to read Peyton's story.
