Love Your Brain Foundation

In 2019, I had an accident & suffered a TBI (traumatic brain injury), neck injury & jaw injury.

The injury was complicated by the shoulder injury I sustained in 2011 & the fact I live with Systemic Lyme Disease.

As part of my TBI treatment, I had the opportunity to complete two Love Your Brain Yoga, Mindfulness & Meditation courses, designed specifically for people affected by brain injuries. 

The cost of the courses is covered by LYB & available to TBI Survivors around the world, in person & online.

Last week, as a last minute decision, I applied for & was accepted to do a LYB Mindset Course in Facilitating Mindfulness and Meditation Discussions.

I applied last Tuesday, was accepted on Wednesday, started on Thursday, & have so far done 6 modules!

Ater completing TBI treatments from 2019-2021, & having a cervical spinal fusion (C4-C6) in August 2021, my progress is significant.

This is the first time since 2011 that I have been healthy enough to do any kind of work/training.

After completion, I will (hopefully!) be qualified to help provide to others the valuable tools and support that helped me through a significantly challenging part of my health journey.

I'm also hoping to complete a LYB Yoga teacher training course in June.

I've been awarded a partial scholarship for the cost of this course & I'm aiming to raise £530 ($675) to cover fees for both courses.

All funds raised will go to LYB.
