Love and support for the Milners

Hi my name is Lisa, one of Kat's best friends. I started this fundraiser for the Milners to help them out back in May this year.

My heart is broken for this beautiful family. Losing Russ has affected so many people's lives, but none more than Kat & Alyssa.

Russ unfortunately was unable to get life insurance due to him having Cancer and didn't organise it before he was diagnosed. We don't really have the foresight to see what our future holds. This means that sadly, Kat and Alyssa have had a great loss, not in only losing Russ, but his income - so suddenly. Imagine being in Kat's shoes. Could your household survive if the main source of income got severed so suddenly? Would you want to work any time soon if your partner passed away? While Russ' superannuation is still in the process of being paid out (who knows how long that will take!!), Kat is in a bit of a financial limbo and is stressed to the max. There are still bills to pay.

This is the time where we need to really dig deep and help Kat out. Your love and support for the Milners couldn't be more important than now. RIP Russ.

Hi my name is Lisa, one of Kat's best friends. I wanted to start a fundraiser for the Milners to help them out.

Everyone that knows them, knows what they're going through with Russ' Kidney cancer diagnosis (since 2014). He's a tough fighter and always puts on a brave face for everyone. It's been difficult recently trying to find the best method to keep it under control. Living with constant chronic pain, trying to work, raise a little girl, and be a great husband has been challenging to say the least.

I know personally I feel helpless and feel like there's nothing much I can do to help. By setting this up for them, I feel any donations big or small, will help assist them with getting through the especially tough times. It could help with bills, gardening expenses, grocery delivery or even getting a cleaner regularly to take some stress off Kat who I know has a lot on her shoulders and often has to take unpaid leave to attend Russ' medical appointments, hospital visits or for her own mental health purposes.

As most people would know, Kat does a lot for everyone else out of the kindness of her heart, and she would do anything for anyone, but would never ask for help herself. So I've decided to step in for her, Russ and Alyssa so they have one less thing to worry about. I'm going to be linking this directly to her personal bank account so every cent will be donated directly to the Milners.
