Love & Support for Selinda and Family

For those of you who know Selinda, you know that she is the most kindhearted woman you will ever meet.  She is there for us all when we need her, and now, she needs us.

Her husband Philip's health had been declining over the past few months with intolerable pain and losing the function of the left side of his body.   CT/MRI scans confirmed what they feared the most - his brain tumor has returned a third time, and it's two to three times the size as the previous one.  Philip is barely able to walk, and most definitely not allowed to drive.  As Philip is the sole driver in the household, Selinda has had to rely on her amazing network of family and friends in Campbell River to get groceries, etc.  Philip struggles to do the stairs in their home, and help in the daily tasks a family of five would navigate.  With two of her children requiring significant extra attention, this has been a difficult journey for all.

Today, Philip was admitted to hospital.  It is unknown how long his stay will be, and I think we could all agree that this family needs some love from all of us.  Selinda has been working extra hard to try to raise the money needed for a chair lift to reduce the strain of ascending/descending so he can sleep in the bedroom, and see his children to bed without difficulty.  The approximate cost is $6000, and needs to be installed when Philip returns home.  I've added to this total to help the family with household bills, taxi fares, and perhaps even a few dinners so this hard working, wonderful woman can take some things off her plate while they determine the extent of Philip's treatment.
