Help Me Get an Attorney to Bring My Children Home

I am in the middle of an active custody case involving my children, and right now I’m trying to navigate it without a lawyer.

I have done everything that has been asked of me—housing, employment efforts, parenting services, testing, and ongoing compliance. I’ve shown up, I’ve participated, and I’ve kept going even when it’s been incredibly hard.

But I’ve reached a point where I can’t do this alone anymore.

I’ve been denied court-appointed counsel, and I do not have the financial ability to hire an attorney on my own. That means I am standing in court trying to explain my life, my progress, and my children’s future without someone trained to speak for me.

My children are currently in separate placements. They ask about coming home. I don’t always have the words to answer them, and that is the hardest part of all of this.

This fundraiser is to help me get legal representation so I can properly present my case and continue working toward reunification.

I am not asking for anything other than a fair chance to be heard with proper legal support.
