Losing Julia Finch

Hi everyone, I'm Mark Kuntz and I represent Sandypoint Productions, an indie film production collective begun with my longtime friend Jeff Bock. As some of you know, a rough cut of our indie feature film Losing Julia Finch has recently been completed and the screening/submission process has begun. It's been a three year labor of love for me and my production partner, not to mention the wonderful skeleton cast and crew who worked so hard on this locally-grown project, and we are near the finish line. To date we have spent $25000 of our own money and private donations on the film, and we need $5000 more to complete our final sound edit, which is necessary for the film to be shown in theaters. The film is adapted from a short story by Sandpoint Idaho native and nationally-published author Keith Lee Morris. Jeff and I wrote the script from Keith's lovely story, and Jeff directed while I portay the main protagonist Grover Eden Dooley. But this is Julia's story, who is played by the stunningly-talented Vancouver BC- based actress Kirsten Ley. It is a sublime and absurd little love story shot on location in Sandpoint Idaho and Los Angeles California in the summer of 2014. You can follow our Facebook page "Losing Julia Finch" and view the many outtakes and trailers for the film if you want more information. This is a true independent film, borne of a homegrown spirit and utilizing local assets, which highlight not only the beautiful town of Sandpoint Idaho, the wonderful people who call it home, and a familiar and quirky little story of love and loss in the summertime, a story of both whimsy and pain, and one in which I am positive everyone will find all-too relatable. Please consider helping us across the finish line and supporting true independent film. We are so close to realizing our dream. We will be holding regional screenings in July in Sandpoint, Wallace, and Bozeman, with possibly more to come. We have submitted to eleven film festivals thus far and we plan to take our shot with many more. Thank you for your time and thank you for throwing your hat in the ring to keep independent film independent. As Julia says so eloquently, "I'm me, Grover. I'm just me."
