Losing my locks in memory of lost brave battlers

We all know some brave battlers who have fought hard to survive in this world and were taken too soon. Be it from, cancer, illness or coming into this world early. It is for these people I have decided to raise money for a few charities and shave my head to donate my locks.
Jo Goldstien was a high school friend of mine who was a loving wife and mother of three young boys. After 18months fighting small cell carcinoma, she lost her cancer battle and was taken too soon from us, 7years ago.
Carl Dowthwaite was a close childhood family friend who loved life and lived it to the fullest. A small niggling pain in his back ended up finally being diagnosed as testicular cancer which had already spread to many other parts of his body, including his brain. Even after multiple surgeries, chemo and radiation, Carl unfortunately passed away in late March 2020.
Grace Oddi came into this world too early on 20 June 2013, weighing 500grams and only 30cm long. Her time on this Earth was only a matter of hours but she touched so many hearts in such a short time.
Arabella Oddi was diagnosed with congenital heart disease before she was born on 05 January 2016. After surgery and spending time attached to an EMCO. She lost her hard battle at only 5 weeks old on 12 February 2016.
Both Grace and Arabella were the daughters of friends of mine, Megan and Brad Oddi.
It is because of the above mentioned brave souls I have decided to donate all money raised to the following charities in their names.
- Cancer Council (25% on behalf of Jo and 25% on behalf of Carl)
- Bears of Hope (25% on behalf of Grace)
- HeartKids (25% on behalf of Arabella)
I have spent the last 4 years growing my hair to have as much length as possible to donate to the Alopecia Foundation. They create beautiful long hair wigs for little girls suffering the terrible disease that prevents them from growing their own hair. The shave will be happening on 21 November 2020.
Please show your support and help me raise as much awareness and money as possible for all of these worthy causes and honour the memory of the above mentioned amazing people.
