You know when you are genuinely inspired by someone and they touch your heart. I've watched Nicola for the last 18 months share her honest 'Good, Bad and Ugly' journey through a very rare from of cancer. I feel like I’ve lived her story with her and Nicola has touched my heart and so many other people around the world, She is brave, courageous, caring and inspiring, I've never heard her say a negative word, She's a rare person indeed - beautiful from the inside out.
Nicola story so far is that she was diagnosed with a very rare aggressive cancer last year and after many life changing operations, Chemotherapy and then radiotherapy, diet changes and immense research She is now needs treatment in Germany which costs over £50000 .
We are a family of Marathon runners that loves sport! We love a challenge and so we want to do something to help Nicola and to raise awareness of 'Rare Cancers' they actually make up 50% of the diagnosed cancers these days and to raise some money to help her live as well as she can for as long as she can.
Its 500 miles from Chigwell, where we live to Frankfurt - Where Nicola will be having her treatment. Between the four of us = My Husband Mike, Our daughter Jessica and her boyfriend James we are going to Cycle (on a spin bike) 500 between us in one day...That means we are all going to be on the bikes for 12 hours plus!!!!
