Lokahi Teams Giving Tuesday

Hearing that “you can’t” do something is often heartbreaking.
This is especially true for children wishing to play sports or engage in other high school activities only to be told that they can’t due to budget constraints, lack of equipment, or no programs.
Organized sports provide opportunities to learn teamwork, responsibility, cooperation, and character.
Lokahi Teams is dedicated the principles that sports teach youth. We want to make sure that every child, everywhere, has that opportunity to learn those valuable lessons. Dedicated coaches, teachers, and community leaders have come together to ensure that youth at the Jr. High and High School level have the chance to participate in these pivotal activities, regardless of cost. Knowing that shrinking school budgets and growing need driven communities often struggle to support extra-curricular activities, Lokahi Teams hopes to help alleviate some of that burden from our schools and communities we serve.
Our mission is to strengthen communities by removing barriers to sports participation.
We want to see as many kids in as many sports as possible. Kids should dream and find joy in participatory sports and scholastic activities without hearing “you can’t”.
On this Giving Tuesday, we hope that you will join us in our goal to remove the can not's of this world and allow our youth to show what they CAN do.
