Logan Gives Back
Donation protected
On Saturday, February 22nd, Logan will celebrate his 2 year TID diagnosis. Initially, I assumed since he was diagnosed with diabetes at a young age, it would just be "normal" for him. That he wouldn't know any different. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Lately he has been asking, "Mommy, when I am I going to get better," and "I feel like type one diabetes is the boss of me!!"
As the anniversary of his diagnosis approaches, I thought about just skipping it. But then, I had an idea. While Logan was at Phoenix Children's Hospital he LOVED the toy room. I thought that if he could shop for and deliver a bunch of cool toys... to kids who probably will also share his "anniversary"... it will give him a sense of solidarity and feel like he is helping make another kid feel better during a really scary time.
Every dollar will go towards toys and art supplies for the endocrinology floor at PCH. I called and coordinated with them and since we will be going THIS SATURDAY THE 22ND, if you are moved to donate please do it soon :) We will be shopping this Friday.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. This will greatly lift Logan and many other little kids going through the same thing.
