Lockdown Relief for Uganda
Donation protected
The Covid-19 pandemic has taken a toll on us all. Lockdowns, isolations and quarantines bring new challenges for each of us individually, and in community. However, in developing countries these challenges can cause consequences just as devastating as the virus itself. In Uganda, these vital social distancing methods strip families and individuals of work and income. While social distancing is extremely important to slow the spread of disease in a developing country, families are suffering as they lose any ability to pay for food and life sustaining supplies.
WAMU Youth Ministries is raising money to purchase rice, beans, soap and other food staples and supplies to be distributed among Ugandan families in need. This pandemic has already taken far too many lives, let's work together to save those in Uganda protecting others through social distancing. We understand that this time poses a financial burden on many, but meeting our goal could save the lives of more than 50 entire families, and hundreds of individual men, women and children. Every dollar counts.
This virus poses a terrifying threat, but it also provides the opportunity to restore faith in humanity by displaying our incredible ability to come together to help others. Please help us show the anxious and hopeless that faith, compassion, and teamwork will always win in the end.
