The Mad Max Project’s journey started 9 years ago when Max was first diagnosed with infantile spasms and then eventually, SCN8A.

SCN8A is a rare disorder that causes a range of symptoms that can include severe epilepsy, developmental delay, and other medical challenges. Max falls under the severe side of the spectrum. The last 9 years has been an emotional and physical battle for Max and his family. There have been wonderful people along the way who have supported us with generous donations. Every dollar has gone towards Max’s quality of life, covering therapies, medicines, and equipment insurance won’t cover.

As Max continues growing, he is requiring more medical support, like a new specialty van, patient lift, and a house generator to allow us to keep him home when the power goes out during hurricanes and severe storms. Every little bit counts.
