Hi, im James, or Jim.

This year I am raising money for Muscular Dystrophy UK. My brother Ed had Duchenne's MD. He lived as full a life as possible, before he passed away at 18.

This year would mark his 21st birthday, so I am honoring him with a full year of fundraising efforts, to contribute towards new treatment research and support for afflicted families.

Ed truly loved animals. As a young boy, me and him enjoyed walking together and he always had a keen eye for new animal friends. As his condition progressed, his visits to animals were confined to zoos, due to his powered wheelchair.

I feel him with me when I walk the forest, and I know how much he cared for its inhabitants. For this reason, I am starting off my fundraising efforts with a 5-WEEK LITTER PICK.

From 9th February to 15th March, I will be doing 1 hour minimum daily (all weather), cleaning the forests of Leeds to improve the spaces; for the animals and people who use them.

I will be posting daily on my Instagram @jimtwoeyes and TikTok- jimtwoeyes7 so that people can follow the journey!

All funds raised will go directly towards the next step of my plan - a pop up cafe, which will serve 'pay-as-you-can' food to the public, and free hot drinks. This cafe will be taking place both in the forests and in public parks.

The ancient woodland of Black Carr Woods (near Pudsey) will be the starting point, followed by Woodhouse Ridge. If you would like to suggest a woodland in Leeds or West Yorkshire for me to do, please do!
