Liter of Light Netherlands is a student-led NGO based in Maastricht and we are part of the global Liter of Light movement. Our aim is to bring ecologically and socially sustainable lighting to people in all areas of the world in conditions of energy poverty.
Because, while it may seem unimaginable to us, there are more than 1.5 billion people in the world that don't have access to electricity.
The money we raise with our Recycle 5, Donate 5 and Nominate 5 Instagram challenge will be used to fund the Light up your Christmas campaign we are organizing in collaboration with Liter of Light Europe. The goal of this campaign is to bring light to people living in rural villages in Senegal and Kenya. By installing only 8 streetlights, we will already be able to light up a village of 1000 people! But, we need your support to make this happen.
With a small donation of only €5 you will already help us to light up the lives of more than three people who are currently living in darkness. #bethelight
