Lincoln's Neuroblastoma Cancer Treatment Fund
Donation protected
This fundraiser is to help Lincoln Schlenker (age 3 years old) and his family throughout his cancer treatment.
Statement from Whitney Schlenker, Lincoln's mother:
"Hello! My name is Whitney Schlenker. I am a mother of four from Pinecrest, CA.
On Sunday, July 10th, 2022, Lincoln was rushed to the ER for stomach pains. After a few hours of ultrasounds, blood work, IVs, and waiting - we were shocked to find out he might have neuroblastoma. We were then transferred to Stanford Children's Health - Lucile Packard for further evaluation and treatment. Lincoln has already undergone an MRI, CT scanning, bone and tumor biopsies, a port placement, and many ultrasounds. Cody (Whitney's husband) continues to work and commute back and forth from Pinecrest to Palo Alto (6 hours roundtrip). We're hoping that the funds raised will also help with housing near the hospital, so we can stay closer to our son. Any help we can receive for Lincoln is immensely appreciated. Thank you!"
What is Neuroblastoma?
Neuroblastoma is a very rare (less than 10%) type of cancerous, solid tumor that attacks the bones, adrenal gland, and various parts of the nervous system. It can spread to other parts of the body, such as the chest, spine or spinal cord, and the abdomen.
Treatment can include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, or a combination of these. Treatments for neuroblastoma can be up to 2 years long.
