Lily grace 2014-2025
Hi, my name is Amy Kay. I am Lily-Graces older sister
My mum Joanne is trying to raise half the costs of my little sister lilys head stone,
As a family a go fund me was a last resort, and something we didn’t necessarily want to do.
On lilys 10th birthday she did not wake up due to fighting a chest infection, 6 days later Lily was in Manchester children’s hospital for an IV drip to help fight the infection, Lily was a very strong little girl but it always took a lot longer for her to fight infections, blood tests was done & we found out she was also fighting a blood infection named influenza A. This sadly took our little girly away to heaven on the 2nd January 2025 aged 10. Lily had a rare brain condition called Lissencephaly which was a life limiting condition, this also caused her to have a smooth brain meaning she was only 3-5 months old throughout her whole life. Lily was a pampered little princess & we aim to get her a princess castle headstone that lights up (she LOVED lights) her bedroom was constantly covered in the prettiest sparkliest lights so it only makes sense to get her resting place lit up!
My mum was lilys full time carer so she could never work as lilys needs was so severe (mum never slept a full night throughout the whole 10 years either) but she would never have changed a thing for our girl
As you can imagine after Lily passing away my mum lost her carers allowance, disability money which helped her a lot, and lost her mobility car. She has struggled financially since lilys passing. We always had saved over the years for lilys funeral and headstone as we new she wouldn’t be with us forever as her disability had a life expectancy of 10 years old - WHICH SHE ABSOLUTELY DID US PROUD AND MADE IT!
But my mum being my mum and us went above and beyond to give her the best send off any little girl could ever have so this has left her with not a lot of money left over.
So we’re kindly asking if any friends or family would like to help towards. Please do not feel like you have to because nobody has to. It’s just a last resort my mum is wanting to go down.
Thank you
We miss you lil
