Lighting Up Whickham

Lighting Up Whickham is a local community group that fundraises to pay for the Christmas tree and lights.

We normally have fundraising events throughout the year, including our very successful summer fayre. However, this year we have been unable to fundraise and run our normal events due to the Covid-19 outbreak. We are not sure what the next few months will bring in terms of large gatherings or social distancing, but we want to bring some Christmas cheer to our Whickham community.

We are aiming to raise money towards the Christmas tree and lights, with any extra raised contributing to next year. If we are not able to have usual Christmas tree lighting social event, then we hope to have an online event to bring us altogether this Christmas.
