Light in a Hard Season – Therapy Support for a Mom

Hi, my name is Yesenia, I am 38 y/o and I’m a mother of four children ages 17, 12, 10 & 8. I'm doing my best to hold everything together on my own right now. Life has been incredibly heavy lately, with losing custody of my 3 younger ones and losing a job and having difficulty finding another. I do my best to stay strong for my children, but I’ve come to realize that I need help.

I am currently struggling with my mental health, and although I've put it off for quite some time, I know that therapy would be a life-changing support for me, but with no insurance and ongoing financial hardship, I just simply can’t afford it right now. Every day, I pour my energy into trying to be there for my kids, all while trying to keep myself together, but it’s becoming harder & harder to push through without the help I truly need.

This GoFundMe is my way of asking for some support and not just for me, but for my children too. I know that a healthier and more grounded version of me means a more stable and loving environment for them, and my family. Your donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward my therapy sessions in which I do already have one in mind.
