Let’s help the Capelouto’s

Dear Friends and Family,

 We hope this message finds you and your families well. Today, we are reaching out on behalf of our dear friends, Matt and Christine Capelouto, who have recently experienced an overwhelming series of losses and tragedies.

 We are Nathan & Goldi Thompson, close friends of Matt & Christine, and we've witnessed the incredible strength and resilience they have displayed in the face of so much adversity over the past couple of years.

 Unfortunately, life has dealt them a series of harsh blows, beginning with the sudden loss of Christine's mom in November of 2019, and the very next month, the tragic loss of their daughter, Alexandra. Approximately 6 months later, Christine's father died without warning, as well. Losing both parents months apart is difficult but having to bury a child is unimaginable. Then, in the beginning of 2022, Christine was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer which she continues to battle today. As if that wasn't enough, an employee of Matt's, whom they considered a friend, embezzled nearly $200,000 from them, taking advantage of Matt and Christine at a time when they were most vulnerable. Sadly, it doesn't end there. Matt is a small business owner in Temecula and his store was broken into in the early morning hours of December 9th, by someone who drove their truck through the back roll up door. In addition to stolen machines the shop suffered severe damage. Matt currently has no way to conduct business, so we are asking for your help.

The purpose of this GoFundMe campaign is to provide some relief and support during this incredibly challenging time. The funds raised will be used to repair his business, so he can continue to work and support his family.

 Each challenge they face seems insurmountable, and the weight of grief and financial strain has become too heavy of a burden, not to mention, the emotional toll of these losses which is immeasurable.

Any financial assistance will not only ease the immediate burden, but also contribute to helping them start to rebuild their lives. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to them. In times like these, a supportive community can make all the difference, and we are grateful for every ounce of support, whether it be financial or simply in the form of thoughts and prayers.
