Hi, my name is Edgar. I and other Firefighters decided to create this fundraiser to help supplement Giovanni's wife transportation needs. Giovanni has been in the hospital in ICU in critical condition due to Covid complications for the last month. His wife, Francesca, requires transport to and from the hospital on a daily basis to be by her husband's side during his darkest hours.

They're both first-generation Italian immigrants to the USA and she does not drive. Fire Department personnel have been providing transportation for some time now, but we feel we need to supplement that commitment since his struggle has lasted so long. While Giovanni is fighting to survive, we are fighting to make sure his partner in life can be by his side.

This GoFundme will be utilized to provide UBER transportation when we cannot find a volunteer to drive her to the hospital. At the conclusion of his stay at the hospital, any remaining funds/ over the goal monies will be used to help pay his medical expenses.
