Let’s help Florenta beat Cancer.

In July last year ( 2022 ), Florenta, one of our cleaners who has been working with us for 4 years was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.

Florenta’s prognosis was very bleak and after consultations with 3 surgeons in the UK it was felt treatment wouldn’t work and that Flotenta didn’t have much time. With these facts Florenta and her husband Paul decided to travel home to Romania to be with her family and friends.

A surgeon in Romania decided that a treatment may help Florenta and miraculously it has worked. Florenta’s tumour has reduced to less than half its size, she is now able to do many things that she lost the ability to do. When she left the UK she was unable to walk, almost blind, losing her speech and quite a few other issues. She has made huge progress and is now, able to walk, speak and see once again, but there is still a long journey ahead. The treatment in the UK would have been covered by the NHS but this is not the case in Romania. It has been costing in the region of £2000.00 a month which is draining all their savings. Florenta was entitled to financial help from the UK. Florenta and Paul had been residents here for 4 years and paying their taxes, but this has now come to an end as it has been six months since they left the UK.

I want to help and hopping that through GoFundMe and a Charity Dinner together we can help raise as much as possible to allow Florenta to continue with her treatment.
