Let's get Nicks back on her feet.. Literally!
John’s pup, Nicks, is turning 4 this August 21st, and is suffering from an injury in her back legs. While she is able to sort of walk, if you could call it that, the use of her back legs is severely hindered, and quite painful to watch.
John finally found a vet who may have diagnosed the issues. It appears Nicks has ruptured both of her achilles tendons, and possibly another tendon. They were able to feel the abnormality in her joints. Nicks has remained stoic and does not show signs of pains. (If you are familiar with dogs, you know they are great at doing that.)
While the possible diagnosis is good news for the most part, the surgery that is needed is rare.. and expensive. The cost is $5000.. per leg. It has been advised the the surgery needs to be performed AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, as the best results are within a few weeks of the injury.
We all know that dog is (hu)man’s best friend, and I think we can all agree that we would do anything for our beloved pups. I know I would! Please consider donating to help cover this rare, expensive surgery that can possibly rejuvenate Nicks’ back legs. No donation is too small, and every little bit helps. We appreciate and are so grateful for your kindness and generosity. Love and peace to all.
