Lets Get Mark Off The Streets

This is Mark, Mark is homeless in Liverpool and last night was subject to an attack by a gang of youths last nite leaving him with a black eye and broken ribs! Alot of ppl know Mark from Aldi on Queens Drive he is such a greatful positive attitude guy who praises the ppl of Liverpool for their support and yet still insists more good ppl than bad! He does not beg or ask for money but makes little ashtrays/tealight holders and offers them to anyone who shows kindness! I asked him today what he wanted from Aldi and I had to force it out of him! He's not after pity he's after a break! He's lost! No phone, noone to get advice from on how he goes forward etc! This we are going to pursue over the next couple of weeks! He is trying and is currently in recovery/treatment whilst on the streets! He is careful in the company he keeps as he wants to succeed with his recovery! I met a different person today a shell of who I met in previous weeks these little thugs knocked every last bit of dignity and confidence this man has which he needs to get by day by day all for a "funny video" to share among "friends".  He had a breakdown just over 3 years ago and so mental health is an issue but he sees a goal of wanting to get his mental health on track getting a home and hopefully a job as a long term goal! I am going to keep in contact with Mark and the plan is to get him on the right path! If you can spare anything be it from 50 pence to a £1 it is all going to be put towards a future plan! Even go down to him on Queens Drive he is there everyday and take an ashtray/tealight holder! U might think ur doing better not taking one but it actually is giving him a purpose and he feels better by giving back! Any questions etc feel free to contact!
