While most everyone is preparing for summer and planning their summer vacations, the Stokes family is planning a different kind of vacation of their own. They will be going BACK to West Palm Beach, FL (twice actually) for more surgery for Brooklyn at The Paley Institute.

Last spring, we did a GoFundMe for them and raised a little over $11,000. Which was AWESOME and SOO appreciated, but… it wasn’t enough. We were hoping that would get them through the surgery last summer and the surgeries planned for this summer, but unfortunately Brooklyn had some complications. They had to take some additional trips and have additional surgeries that were not originally in the plans. That $11k went much quicker than anticipated.

This summer, Brooklyn is scheduled for an additional surgery for her feet. They will go on 2 separate trips to West Palm Beach, each for 2 weeks. One trip will be the surgical portion, and one trip will be the therapy portion. This is a new year with a new deductible and they would so appreciate anything to go towards that/any other expenses incurred when relocating your family for a month. And they were originally not going to bring H&K due to the additional expenses, but Brooklyn says she cannot do it without her sisters and she NEEDS them there so.. the whole crew will be there again to rally around her!

Many people have been asking Monica how they can help, and against her wishes I pushed her to do another GFM (because what are friends for ). We are all cheering Brooklyn on together! I know times are tough for a lot of people.. if you cannot donate that’s okay! Please keep Brooklyn and her family in your prayers as they embark on what is hopefully the last step to get Brooklyn up and walking. She has made incredible strides so far and they aren’t giving up yet!
