Mark Klemen, a long time friend, was diagnosed with testicular cancer at the age of 32 in February 2014. Although he had medical insurance, the out-of-pocket cost was still in the 10's of thousands. He now owes $35,000 and counting...
With the bills stacking up, Mark cannot focus on his recovery. He works full time at a local mill, in addition to running his own lawn care company. He also has a 14-year-old daughter named Ivy. (That'll keep you busy!)
Even working long days and nights, the bills keep coming. Overwhelmed, Mark has been avoiding his follow up appointments. 'Time is money.' Time spent at the doctors is time he could be making money, to pay the bills he already has. Time spent at the doctors also means more bills to come.
Every penny donated will help relieve Mark of some debt so that he can focus on fighting his cancer and living a healthy life with his daughter.
