Recent information suggests Sheriff Gregory Tony may be ineligible to hold office due to prior arrests and convictions in 1992, 1993, and again in 1994, which he failed to disclose to the citizens of Broward County. His fitness for duty is also in question. Recent civil lawsuits have been filed in Broward County to find out the truth, to which Tony has yet to come forward with transparent answers.
