Legal fees to help Marla's remain open

Marla's Cocina & Cantina has a rich history dating back almost 50 years in the lovely pass area. Started years ago as Jimmy's, the Mexican food menu was enriched with American food when Marla took over in 2001. Since then the Mexican American restaurant has been the meeting ground for the Pass Area and passers through for years.
In 2020 COVID-19 and the subsequent closures by the political appointees within the state caused Marla's new owners, Diego Rose and Bianca Figueroa to make a choice. That choice was to remain open. That decision initially was one that was easy to make and deal with.
Their employees wanted to remain.
Their patrons wanted to return.
Their vendors wanted hope.
The initial backlash from angry citizens about their choice resulted in multiple visits from local authorities including local police, Riverside County's Health Department, Alcohol Beverage Control, and the County's council. As the lockdowns continued the backlash continued. The authorities' visits became more threatening and the actions of the locals became increasingly harsh. During that time the couple has amassed several legal challenges and is now being faced with their most serious challenge to date. This Go-Fund-Me is being established in order to help with the latest challenge of fighting a 15 day closure being sought by the California Alcohol Beverage Control. The legal fight is going to take place in both administrative and criminal proceedings and is being handled by attorney Greg Kreep. Along with the 15 day closure they are also facing thousands in fines on both administrative and criminal hearings. As loyal citizens, devote patriots, and free people they are only seeking to do what all humans are seeking and that is to remain FREE.
If you are a supporter of freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and are able to contribute towards this fight here is your chance. Please be aware even though the state is moving towards opening these proceedings will move forward and become precedent for everyone in the future. WE must all understand freedom isn't free. It requires vigilance and effort to maintain. This is the time.
