Legal Fees to fight for 640 Wilson’s future

As concerned citizens of Larkspur, Bend, OR, we have witnessed the disregard shown by Deschutes County in choosing a location for a new program aimed at reintegrating convicted sex offenders into society. Over the past few months, our pleas to reconsider this decision have fallen on deaf ears. The chosen location poses an unacceptable risk to families and children in our community.

The individuals targeted by this program have been convicted of serious sex crimes including second and third degree offenses. We firmly believe that the county's decision was a grave mistake that could potentially endanger innocent lives.

This issue is deeply personal to us because despite our persistent efforts, the county has done nothing substantial to rectify this situation. It has become evident that legal counsel is necessary to ensure our voices are heard and actions are taken.

We hope you share our concern about this critical issue. Together we can hold our elected officials accountable and show them that their dismissive attitude towards such serious matters is unacceptable. We refuse their apparent "just deal with it" mentality.

Our community deserves better than this; we deserve safety and peace of mind in knowing that decisions made by those in power prioritize public safety above all else.
