LeftHookNYC's Youth Boxing Collective
Donation protected
Hi all!
I'm Ramón Pebenito, the Founder of LeftHookNYC. We are a newly launched, 100% free after school youth boxing program that focuses on teens in NYCHA public housing + underserved communities of color!
This past October, with small contributions from local leaders -- we LAUNCHED in Bushwick, Brooklyn, at NYCHA's Hope Gardens Community Center. Twice a week, LeftHookNYC trains our youth on the fundamentals of self-defense, beginner-level boxing (non-sparring) in a safe, supportive, and encouraging space!
We've had so much excitement ever since we were JUST featured on local NYC TV, PIX11, Monica Makes It Happen with Emmy Winning Reporter Monica Morales!
We want to expand LeftHookNYC to NYCHA developments and lower income communities across Brooklyn and the rest of New York City's NYCHA youth! It starts with the most at-risk and vulnerable areas.
WATCH THE TV CLIP and you'll see that we're building something special at Hope Gardens
We plan to take our mission all over New York - our young adults and children deserve all the support, encouragement, and athletic dedication, discipline, and teamwork!
We hope you can donate to reach our goal of devoting at $250 to each LeftHookNYC boxing student:
- Premium, Age/Size Appropriate Boxing Gloves of the highest possible quality (Everlast, Cleto Reyes, Winning, Grant, Elite, RDX, Adidas, etc)
- Multiple Protective Handwraps
- Full-Size Gym Bag, Thermos, Jump Rope, Training Mitts
- Hand sanitizer/ Athletic PPE (reusable mesh / breathable masks)
Thanks and please spread the word!
Support the youth. Support LeftHookNYC!
