Left in LA
Donation protected
Left in LA is a one-day feminist, queer, anti-capitalist event coming to Los Angeles on August 5th, 2017.
Workshops (all tbc) will include:
-how to organize your workplace
-queer anticapitalism
-femme identity in the workplace
+group space to share experiences in organizing
Left in LA will be a gathering of creative, inspiring, and political activists/organizers on the gender peripheries of the left. While the morning workshops are geared for those who are just starting out, this day is meant for people who already identify as "on the left." We will also be centering discussion on non-binary and femme folks and their experiences.
Left in LA is designed by, for, and will focus on those with marginalized gender identities.
Donations will go to renting space, printing materials, feeding attendees lunch, honoraria for panelists, and other incidental costs.
We would be so happy to have whatever you can offer! The event will be free for attendees, so we will only be able to do this if you we have aid from those who are not attending.
Thank you and solidarity.
