Leayla's Medical Expenses

Hi my name is Freddy Barron, father of Leayla,

On July 21st we received the dreaded phone call that is all parents worse nightmare. Our little girl Leayla 14, has been diagnosed with Acinic Cell Carcinoma Parotid (Cancer of the salivary gland). After many Dr. visits we finally got our date for surgery. On August 17th she went in for the very delicate surgery. It was a success, the Dr's where able to remove the nasty tumor & were able to save all of her facial functions by not damaging the nerves. Her tumor was sent out for further testing under the micro scope. Her healing was beautiful, 3 weeks and she was as normal as most teens.

On September 7th, we met with Radiology. Our Leayla is not cancer free, she has mini cancer cells deep into her neck in an area where she would need Radiation treatment. So here we are just another speed bump that we will venture through. Starting on Friday the 24th her treatments begin, they are estimating a minimum of 6 weeks, Monday through Friday and Sat & Sun are to rest.

Leayla is a quiet, but yet cheerful young lady. Her non-bothersome attitude and shy demeanor is almost to good to be true for some. She is as strong as a diamond there to bring light into any room she's in without saying a word. With her 4 sisters and 2 brothers a bond that will never be broken, Leayla is loved for all that she is.

We as her loved ones are full of faith and know that our lord will guide all of us through the path that has been laid out for us. We ask that prayer from every source be asked for Leayla and our family for a full pain free recovery.

It is unfortunate that most of us have been affected in some way by this type of awful circumstance in our lives at one point & know that the burden of financial hardship takes a tremendous toll. Our daily drives to Los Angeles and medical bills are a huge struggle. Please let it be known that any donations and prayers are excepted with heavy and thankful hearts!
