Leadership Duluth Ready Set Ride Project

Hello Everyone!

Leadership Duluth Ready Set Ride Project: Increasing Outdoor Access for Youth in Duluth's Harbor Highlands Neighborhood.

Some members of our Duluth community experience limited access to and belonging in the city's amazing outdoor recreation opportunities. To help reduce this outdoor adventure gap, The Ready Set Ride Project will support bike maintenance and bike skills development for youth in the Harbor Highlands neighborhood of Duluth.

A Leadership Duluth Project Team, in partnership with the Duluth YMCA Harbor Highlands Community Center, will:

• install a permanent bike repair station and bike rack in the Harbor Highlands neighborhood,

• provide bike locks and helmets for youth in the Harbor Highlands neighborhood,

• stock consumable bike supplies such as chain lube and tire tubes for the YMCA Harbor Highlands Community Center, and

• coordinate and host an on-site community event on May 20th to repair bikes, teach bike skills, and hang out with the Harbor Highlands community.

To achieve these goals, the Leadership Duluth Project Team must raise at least $2000 to fund the necessary equipment, supplies, and professional expertise. As a community-driven project, individual and corporate donations of any amount will make an impact. All fundraising will go through the Duluth Area Chamber Foundation and 100% of proceeds will benefit this project. Let's get these bikes ready to ride on Duluth roads and trails!
