Barbie's Project One Haiti Trip

Hey ya'll....This is Barbie.
Im excited to announce I have a wonderful oppurtunity to go to Haiti. I am going to help the Project One Orphanage in Haiti ran by Angie and Chris Jeffer. I am going to devleop sustainable gardens for the orphaned children there at Hope House.
They would like to grow trees and vegetables year round as the climate in Haiti is great for this. With my background as an Environmental Horticulturalist and love for children, this endeavor is perfect for me. I have been in communication with Paul Smith, who has been helping Passion for Haiti and a agrinomists in Haiti to grow the fruits and vegetables they need there. He is helping educate me on what to expect on the this new adventure.
I cant think of anything more exciting that reaping a harvest... other than teaching the biblical principals of that to the beautiful children of Haiti. This is my hearts desire and I am hoping you can help! Sow a seed, Its good soil :)
I need to raise $2500 by March 1, 2015 to get there. This money will take care of all my expenses, airfare and my needs here in the States while I am gone for a month.
This is not a vacation for me but a ministry opportunity that God put in my heart to help the people and orphaned children of Haiti. I would like to use my talents and gifts and be a blessing to them as the scripture says ,Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. (James 1:27 ASV)
