Layla's medical bills

Donation protected
Layla was born at 26 weeks and 2 days following a car accident at 20 weeks pregnant. Layla was born at 2lbs 0.6oz she came via c-section and was all skin and bones. Layla has undergone a lot the past 6 months and will continue to have medical issues for some years to come. Layla was intubated for 3 months and failed extubation (trying to get off the ventilator) numerous times. She had zero brain bleeds and has no issues with hearing or eye sight, she has a small PDA or opening in her heart and she fights everyday to get stronger and healthier. She spent the first three months of her life at Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo and was transferred to Womens and Childrens Hospital for airway issues after almost three months. After multiple attemps to get Layla off the ventilator and a few bronch scope tests (a camera that looks at the child's airway while they are under general anesthesia) we decided to go through with a tracheostomy. Layla received her trach in mid August and was quickly weened off the ventilator, to this day she still breathes room air like you and I. After a month of trying to get Layla to bottle feed we again as parents decided to put our daughter under for a g-tube. After finding home care nurses and got a fairly clean bill of health Layla was released from the hospital in early October. She is currently growing and thriving at home. Any amount of donation helps out. Very apprecitative and the family is very thankful. Thank you for all your support and help along Laylas journey!
