As many of you may know, Karen was abruptly taken from us, with no transitional period, on November 24. We have had her for the past 3 years; Since she was 8 weeks old. She has grown up with us, known us all as her family, and has not even seen her biological parent for months.

If protocols were followed correctly, the jeopardy hearing that took place on November 22 and 23 would have happened the first year Mali took Karen in. Mali would have also already had guardianship over Karen as the biological parent showed no increase in progress within the first two years. As you can tell, many things were not done as they were supposed to be done.

We all love Karen more than anyone could imagine and she deserves to be in a safe, loving, and happy environment. The very least she deserves is for everyone to fight for her. So, we are asking for everyone to send prayers and strength to both Karen and Mali in such a troubling time. If you could, please help us with expenses for a lawyer. Anything and everything helps.
