Laundry in Lockdown

Donation protected
In a recent BBC news report we learned of 80 families in one Bristol tower-block using five washing machines in one small shared laundry room. This is just one block, and we know there are so many others in need of help. For many Bristol families washing facilities are completely inadequate or unsafe.

During these uncertain times, we are doing our best to support our local community and the city of Bristol as a whole. The government has deemed laundry an essential service, and we couldn’t agree more. We are desperate to reach and provide for the most vulnerable in our community for whom having clean clothes to wear at this time is a luxury.

We are At The Well cafe-laundrette in Stokes Croft, a laundrette with community at its heart. During these times we are closed except for service washing which we are able to continue behind closed doors. We have access to the washing facilities that many lack and we are determined to meet the very real needs of these communities.

Like the vast majority of small businesses worldwide, without income we will not be able to provide a sustainable solution, and would need to fund this program through your generous donations. Thank you for reading this and for your donations. We are endeavouring to provide for the most vulnerable and any money raised will go towards supporting isolated people and families whose living conditions can be improved one load at a time.
