Flood Recovery for Latson & Brooks

Jennie Latson & David Brooks lost everything they own in the Memorial Day floods in Houston.  In fact, David was out of town and Jennie only managed to escape the waters in the middle of the night by running to the upstairs apartment with just her laptop (manuscript saved!) and Larry the Cat. As Jennie says in her own words: "All of our furniture (and pretty much everything else) is destroyed. Our insurance agent told us, "You've got a really great renter's insurance policy. It covers sixteen types of claims! Just not flooding." So, thanks for nothing, insurance."

Jennie & David are moving, and they'll need our help to rebuild their home. They'll need a new bed and linens, a couch and other furniture, and all those other necessities: shoes, new desks and chairs, bookshelves, a printer, food and dishes and backpacks and toiletries.
