Larry Hall's Freedom Fund
Spende geschützt
Larry Hall was sentenced to 60 years in prison for drug distribution. He was never found with any drugs or money, but a jury believed that he told a drug dealer to sell cocaine to undercover police and so he was convicted as a principle to the crime. For this conduct, Mr. Hall received a sentence that guaranteed he would die in prison.
In the nearly-16 years he was incarcerated, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry, participated in over 40 rehabilitative and faith-based programs including as a facilitator and mentor, earned a class A trustee status – the highest at the prison – and worked as a minister to people locked in disciplinary cells, offering them solace in the teachings of faith. Yesterday, at 60 years old, he was re-sentenced and released.
Mr. Hall was freed through Innocence Project New Orleans' Unjust Punishment Project. All donations to this fundraiser go directly to Mr. Hall, not IPNO.
