Lady Irene Children Support Organisation

For my birthday this year I wanted to help raising some money for LICSOU. In 2018 I had the opportunity to become part of the Lady Irene Children Support Organisation in Uganda. This is a small local volunteering organisation in the Luweero region. They have a school that welcomes children from the most difficult situations comprehended of dormitories to host orphans. The support they give to families and single mothers with disabled children is both physical and financial. Meetings and seminars are also organised for the most remote villages to help and informe the small communities about social issues as hygiene, malaria, HIV, family planning and gender equality. I still feel part of the family that welcomed me and allowed me to help them with their amazing work towards a brighter future.
