My name is McKinley Beth Rhinehart and I am the 16 year old daughter of Beth Dillow Rhinehart and Dr. Andrew Rhinehart. The American Heart Association has honored me by being a sophomore class candidate from Virginia High School for the 2015 "Queen of Hearts" campaign. I am committed to making a difference in my community by raising money and awareness about heart disease!
The Queen of Hearts fundraising campaign, first held in 1965, is the longest fundraising campaign within the AHA. Money raised through this campaign comes directly back to our families and communities through local heart disease and stroke education, AED placements, health initiatives and research grants.
Heart Disease is the NUMBER ONE KILLER in America, and with your support, we WILL change this statistic! I represent ALL of us who know someone affected by heart disease. I am fundraising in memory of family members and friends, and I have a dedicated team of friends and family members who are working alongside of me - helping me to reach this goal!
EVERY dollar counts and EVERY donation is critical to the AHA's mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. The overarching goal of the AHA is "By 2020, to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20% while reducing deaths from cardiovascular disease and stroke by 20%."
