Melanie's fight against Cancer

Hello my name is Brittni. As many of you may know the person who gave me life is now in a battle for hers. My mother Melanie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer that has metastasized. She is starting a vigorous treatment plan of four chemotherapy drugs. It's going to be a long and difficult road ahead, and these treatments will cause life changing side effects. There will be many challenges but we have faith and trust in God's plan. If you haven't had the chance to meet Melanie, I'd like to share a few things. My mom is the strongest woman I've ever known and the center of our family. She's been through the toughest of times while still being there for us in every way she can. She is the epitome of Miss Independent. Her family is everything to her, as she enjoys spending time with my brother and I as much as she can. My sons Maxumis and Darius adore her and can't get enough of their Woo Woo. If you asked my mom what she wants to be doing right now, she'd say out in the sun, playing in the water with her grand babies. She is a hard working CNA with a heart of gold. We'd like to give her the fighting chance she deserves without the burden of medical and housing bills. It's not easy asking for help which is why I am creating this fundraiser. All proceeds will go to making this hardship a little bit easier for her. I will be by her side every moment in this battle against cancer, working closely with her doctors and will keep everyone updated with progress. We appreciate any support.
